| Introduction | Kittiwake Design is a craft company based in Sligo, Ireland, which is all about quirky textile designs and small-scale production. When you buy a Kittiwake Design product, you will acquire something completely unique which has been made with thought, care and love. All products are designed and handmade by Sara Nordlander. Sara is originally from Sweden but has lived in Ireland for the past 7 years. After attaining an honours degree in interior architecture, she decided to change direction and start her own craft company. Kittiwake Design was born! Sara is now a full-time crafter and loves creating unique and special designs for her clients. Sara is also a keen photographer and likes to travel. She often picks up fabrics, ribbons, buttons and other craft materials for Kittiwake Design on her travels. New and vintage materials are mixed and each product has its own very special story behind it. About kittiwakes: Kittiwakes are small sea-birds which can be found on the Sligo coastline and the name is derived from its call, a shrill ‘Kittee-wa-aaake, Kitte-wa-aaake'. Most importantly though; they are really cute! |
