| Introduction | These are images of the sky over Crestwood, New York, captured by a backyard astronomer. I prefer to image Deep Sky Objects (DSOs) -- that is, nebulae, star clusters and galaxies - rather than the moon, planets and asteroids (dead rocks and gas balls) that comprise the local solar environment. Exceptions, however, will be made for the occasional comet. |
