Introduction	I was born and raised in Southern California. I earned my BA in English from the University of San Diego in 1993. Which is not so long ago...really. I have lived in Eastern NC for thirteen years now. I earned my MA in English/multicultural literature from ECU in 2001. I have taught high school, community college, and university for twelve years.
