Introduction Hello there. I live in a small Bedfordshire village with my lovely husband Mel and our much loved white and black moggy, Katie. I am currently not in a ‘proper’ job, but since giving up work I have been far from idle. In fact I wonder how I ever found time for it! I have a degree in Fine Craft Design, and continue to practise my own art, though this ebbs and flows with the seasons. I have an allotment and a wee garden which keep me very busy through the fairer months. We live on the edge of a nature reserve, where I help out when I can with a bit of conservation work. I am the sort of person who fills nearly every minute of my time with my many interests…
Interests Art, Art Therapy, craft, embroidery, felt-making, textiles, mixed media, gardening, my allotment, recycling, reading, walking, swimming, yoga, birdwatching, natural history, playing bodhran, taking photographs, collecting Ladybird books, cooking and baking, (and obviously eating the bi-product), DIY, lots more besides.
Favorite Movies I nearly always forget films as soon as I've seen them. These ones must have made an impact, The Wicker Man (the original version with Edward Woodward - I love the sound track too), O Brother Where Art Thou, From Dusk Till Dawn, The Austin Powers Films, The Piano, and there are more but I can't think of them!
Favorite Music Too much to mention all, but, blues, jazz, reggae, folk, blue grass..., I love music with passion for example, Faure Requiem, Manu Chao, Leonard Cohen, Rodrigo y Gabriella, Them, Rolling Stones, Moody Blues, Nina Simone, Arcade Fire, The Doors, Sigur Ros, Kings of Convenience, Kate Bush, The Bees, Crosby Stills & Nash, Alan Parson's Project, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Alison Krauss, etc, etc!
Favorite Books Again so many!, Magnus Mills-The Restraint of Beasts, Peter Hoeg-Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow, Kate Morton-Forgotten Garden, House at Riverton, Flann O'Brien-The Third Policeman, Jean Giono-The Man Who Planted Trees, Neil Gaiman-M is for Magic, Seamus Heaney-Death of a Naturalist, Anita Shreve-Light on Snow, Joanne Harris-Chocolat, Lollipop Shoes, Alexander McCall Smith-No1 Ladies Detective Agency, Phillip Pullman-His Dark Materials Trilogy, SF Said-Varjak Paw, last but not least my childhood favourite, Little Bear's Visit by Else Holmelund Minarik, illustrated by Maurice Sendak.

I'll undulate your planktonic opus with my profile of the Pyramids of Egypt.
