Introduction	Hitch a ride with Faulkner. Travel in style with Wharton. Thumb your way through literature. This is a blog about vicarious living, vicarious traveling and hands-on bookish jabbering. It started out with Alexis and Claudia, aka the Tortoise and Hare of reading, who thought they would enjoy some hitchhiking through the classics. In January 2013, we were joined by Iris and Ashlee, and expanded our road map to include all literary fiction and a smattering of genre and non-fiction. So, whether you're a slow reader or a fast one, like to linger on every sentence or just fast forward to the end of the book, you're invited to hitch a ride with us. We'll talk books, gossip about dead writers, and complain about that trifecta of distractions from reading, known as work, school, and the rest of the internet.
