| Introduction | I am a 30 something runner from Burntwood staffordshire, I have been running for a good 30 years ( i started very young lol) inspired by my dad ( Les Hall) who is also a runner and my training partner, I have run over 50 marathons all around the world with my favourite ones been ,Barbados,Las vegas and of course Snowdon. The past couple of years i have wanted a new challenge firstly i thought i would give triathlon a go ,as i have always wanted to do a ironman, But no matter how hard i tried my swimming was a big problem, so i decided to forget that idea and try my hand at longer distances ULTRA'S , Thats where the fun and new friendships started !! I ran my first ultra in 2010 at the 24hour thunder run in a pairs team with my dad and really enjoyed it and i decided to gear up my training for a solo attempt in 2011 adidas 24hour thunder run, where much to my surprise i finished in 2nd place in the solo female catogory, This is where my love for Ultras started and the main reason i have started this blog is to share my love for this sport , My next ultra i entered was the Buff lightning 12 hour race, which is where my blog will start , I hope you enjoy :) |
