| Introduction | I hold the engineer and doctor degrees in electrical engineering from the Comillas Pontifical University. Currently I operate as a freelance expert on the Electricity Industry especially focussed on Smart Grids. I’ve developed my whole professional career at Union Fenosa Distribución, an utility company full owned by Gas Natural Fenosa. I’ve been member of the ISGAN Executive Committee, the IEA Implement Agreement for Smart Grids, as well as member of the ENARD Ex-Co, the IEA IA for Electricity Networks Analysis, Research and Development. I’ve been also member of the Spain's national committee of CIRED. I am chair of the Edition Committee of "Papeles de la Ingenieria", the newsletter of the Engineering Institute of Spain. I also held positions of Professor of Power Systems (since 1977 to 1998), and Data Processing Systems (since 1991 to 1995), at ICAI School of Engineering, Comillas Pontifical University. |
