| Introduction | I'm an urban hunter. Over time and travel my shopping style has evolved as I've come to appreciate the pleasures of pre-owned. I enjoy the stories that come with second-hand fashions, occasionally stories that I invent, if only to amuse myself. Born in America, I often long for brands gone by, those that pepper my memories of childhood in a small town with one big department store. Books, other blogs, friends, exhibitions, and my mother's style inform my eye as I wander about in search of lightly-worn treasure. I owned a women's clothing shop for a number of years, so I'm painfully aware of the markup that comes with new goods. Anyone can buy retail; it takes a keen, relentless, self-schooled huntress to bag quality 2nd-hand fashion. |
