| Introduction | I'm a student midwife and labor doula who spent 7 months in 2010-2011 living in Davao City, Philippines volunteering at a birth center that serves women living in poverty in and around Davao City. I am now back home in the Pacific NW working as a labor doula with Mothertree Birth Services, and finishing my midwifery training. My mission and calling is to reduce maternal and infant risk, protect and defend the dignity of women, by demonstrating Christ's love, compassion, and mercy in action, and help give moms and babies the love and care that they deserve. I absolutely love midwifery, being a part of birth, and I believe gentle birth can and does change the world. |
