| Introduction | It may seem strange to read, but I love old age! I have enjoyed being young and I have enjoyed each decade of growing older. Each stage of adult life has had its benefits - the dreams and exuberance of the twenties, the maturing and settling of the thirties, the confidence, experience and establishment of the forties and so on. In the late sixties, one begins to piece together the experiences, mistakes and lesson of life and to formulate some sort of conclusions as to what really is important and what turned out to be less so. Some of my perceptions may be cynical and some deeply from the heart - others just plain fun; but whatever their value, I feel that at this age I'm entitled to air those views without apology! I hope that you'll enjoy sharing some of them with me and I welcome your comments and inter-action. |
