Introduction	I'm middle-aged, out of work, and reinventing myself for about the fifth time. After losing my job at the beginning of the current recession, I found myself -- for the first time since I left for college -- living with my parents, out of work, out of energy, and out of ideas. After three years of recuperating, recovering, and regrouping, I'm also retooling for a new career as a freelance commercial writer.
