Introduction	Sewing, chores, and good old-fashioned, home cooked food was the center of the world when I was growing up. Keeping the farm going and the garden growing came along in their time. If you're from my generation (the boomers), you know what I'm talking about. And, so, this blog is born as a tribute to my mother, who continues to steer me in the right direction, even if she doesn't think she does. And a silent salute to the ancestors of my family that I had the pleasure and joy to love. Their spirits are always close. Without my Mom and our descendents, this blog just could not be.
