| Introduction | That's me and my friend/former client/former student-who-is-now-a-trainer-too Chuck, about 285 yards from finishing his first marathon :-) Trainer Jane has been a fitness professional and educator for over 20 years. She has group instruction, corporate consulting, management, and marketing experience as well. As a fitness educator she has served the general public, and has been on the faculty of a personal trainer certification organization. Trainer Jane is: a member of IDEA, the International Association of Fitness Professionals; certified as a personal trainer by the American Council on Exercise; a Master Level Trainer in the IDEA PFT Recognition System, the highest designation; and, a certified Pilates mat instructor, Schwinn certified indoor cycling instructor, and certified Functional Movement Specialist. Trainer Jane has trained people all along the physical conditioning spectrum, from teens to octogenarians and from wheelchair users to elite athletes. As a writer, Trainer Jane has done business and fitness feature articles, and was a regular guest on WAMC-FM’s “Fitness Forum” listener call-in program. She also sings in jazz, blues, and wedding bands. |
