| Introduction | By my own reckoning I am a very middle of the road, middle-aged man. One of the best phrases I have heard in recent years is to ‘recalibrate your ambition’. Which means, admit that you are not going to make it and to lower your sights accordingly. My ambitions are now extremely accurate and reliable, due to all of the recalibrating that I have done year on year. |
