| Introduction | I've been living and loving in Silicon Valley along with the rest of the many, many single people here. The nature of the dating scene in Silicon Valley is unlike any other. The valley is the foremost place on earth for entrepreneurship, innovation, starting up new, failing, and failing some more, and ofcourse, the blockbuster success that comes after many, many failures. It's the intersection of brains, creativity and (pardon me) balls. This, I must say, is all in the fast-paced world of invention and business. The world of dating is somewhat awkward in this environment. People move fast in the valley, if you're not agile and quick to assess and then deviate and iterate, you'll be left behind. Dating however is a different story. Finding a mate is a hard-wired biological process that cannot be programmed or manufactured, and most importantly, requires the collaboration and cooperation of 2 individual people. This is my view of the valley. |
