| Introduction | The Core Coaches came together quite randomly. Emily and Tatum met on a writing team while designing teacher professional development courses for the State of Utah. They soon became friends and began presenting together across the State. Emily and Amy met when they began working together at a new charter school. Emily is her instructional coach and the two of them started working closely together to design curriculum for the school. Tatum just made a move to fourth grade after spending thirteen years in primary grades. She has presented to teachers across the state of Utah and will be presenting at the National SDE Differentiated Instruction Conference in Las Vegas in July. Amy currently teaches first grade. She has taught primary grades for four years. Last year, she presented at the National Expeditionary Learning Conference in Boston. Emily has been an educator for twelve years. She is currently a curriculum director and instructional coach. Prior to this, she was a reading specialist and classroom teacher in both primary and upper grades. She has also presented to teachers across the State. |
