| Introduction | I am a 52 yr. old BBW who is working on re-making herself yet again. I started out in my 20s and 30s as a starving musician. That was ok for awhile ( til Mac and Cheese everyday got to be too much!). I decided to move home and get a job and then finish my masters degree in performance but... 27 yrs later I was still working at that job - had been promoted 3 times and found myself in my new home called Newark in 1985. So my 30s and 40s were spent in a very comfortable job with a car and a good income. I met and married the man who would be my husband for the next 18 years and then....well life barfed all over me!! We became a financial wreck, I became clinically depressed, my husband left, the house went into foreclosure, the money was gone due to bankruptcy and then the big one - I lost my job, my identity as it were and then I became lost for awhile. Believe it or not - this has been a blessing in disguise that I will blog about at some point and I now find myself as a student at C-Tec learning all about medical coding, hanging out with some of the greatest friends in the world and learning to take myself a litte less seriously. Laughter truly is the best medicine. |
