| Introduction | I've spent most of my life being a geeky technology enthusiast. It all started in 1985 when, at 7 years old, I got my first computer - a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48k+ which is still in working order. Along the way I became a Chartered Engineer (with a degree in Communications Engineering), picked up a career in technology design, and acquired an involuntary calling for fixing other people's computers. I've also got a perfectionist streak which leads to frustration when I encounter technology that is badly designed, or unreliable. I don't spend all my time being a Geek though. My interest in Railways is a bit geeky, but I also enjoy walking in the countryside and this links well with my interest in landscape photography (my creative outlet in life). |
