| Introduction | This blog is a strange mix between my two favorite things --- writing and sports. I'm a screenwriter by day and a book writer by night. When I'm not battling Hollywood or writer's block, I take care of my family and help raise my son and share with him a love of sports. I fell in love with baseball in 1975, Game 6 of the World Series. Carlton Fisk hit a homer to beat the Reds. I was ten and far too sensitive and felt sorry for them. My sensitivity was rewarded in Game 7 when the Reds won the Series. I've been a baseball fan ever since, loving the Reds for awhile, now the Yankees, but really just baseball in general. I'm a baseball fan and a sports fan. A Mom and a Team Mom. I may be a girl, but I can throw a ball. For every Big League player who thanks his Dad for playing catch with him when he was eight, there's a Mom who drove him to his games, cheered his successes and agonized over his failures. All from an uncomfortable seat in the bleachers. |
