...And Then I'll Sit Down

Introduction	I named my blog after my mantra. I say it over and over, all day, every day. It goes like this: I’ll just_________, and then I’ll sit down. I “just” do all the wife, mother and WAHM* stuff involved in raising a high school girl and middle school boy, a lovable mutt—oh, and a husband. So that means school volunteering, circus, tae kwon do, piano, serious time spent driving, and the black hole of time/space known as “household management” that includes more last minute changes than I can process. Yes, and I edit presubmission novels in every remaining minute of the day, including minutes strictly intended for sleeping only. I’m not sure what I do for my husband, but it must be something because he’s stuck around for years. Love you, dearest! And when I sit down? That is the entirely fictitious time that I will use to read, write poetry, advocate for maternal healthcare rights, learn Welsh, rest, relax, and start a blog. But apparently you can write a blog without actually sitting down. *And that’s WAHM, Work At Home Mom, not to be confused with Wham!, which is an 80s band.
