Having spent the last 11 years in Manhattan, the previous ten in beautiful but philistine East Tennessee and everything before that in Virginia, I've acquired a weird perspective that is at various times: extremely liberal, anti-southern, pro-southern, anti-suburbia, pro-NYC, anti-NYC, pro-socialist, Anglophilic, nostalgic, long-winded, anti-Republican, spiritual . . . and on occasion just ornery. |
