About me

Introduction	I married my best friend Mark in April, 1998 after dating for five years. Our beautiful and talented daughter Alexis joined our family in April of 2001. Nine months later we found out number two was on his way. My affectionate and bright Cole was born in October, 2002. When Cole was born he had pulmonary hypertension and was in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for 21 days. During that time the doctors continued to tell us how sick he was and they hadn’t expected him to survive, but the Petersen’s are fighters and we know that with God anything is possible. Cole was diagnosed with mild Cerebral Palsy at thirteen months of age. He did not use the left side of his body well and didn’t have the oral motor skills he should have had (even though he ate very well, he was my best nurser). He went through a lot of therapy, but on the other side of that now, no one believes that he has CP. He is amazing and has always been determined. Next was my handsome and sweet Nathan in February of 2005. We are currently expecting our surprise gift from God due July 31, 2011. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
