| Introduction | I'm a novelist who teaches part time (often more part time than I'd like) in order to support my work. I am an impatient teacher - and just as impatient with myself. I have been really stupid since I was born, and read novels and stories for all the wrong reasons - because they give me pleasure. I also like eating good food and going for good walks. They make me feel smug and happy and superior in my stupidity. |
