Introduction	My name is Lucia Fort and I am a professional artist living in Denton, Texas. I have a degree in Graphic Design and work in advertising agencies for 15 years in Lima, Peru where I was born. When I immigrate to United States of America, I could not found a job on adverting because I had no computer skills. In 1993, I saw an article in a magazine about ceramic tiles, and I thought “I can do that”. I began to make some tile samples and leave them on several ceramic stores in the Dallas area, soon had requests for custom work. In 1995, the Internet began to be popular. At the time personal computers were very expensive and I could not afford one. The Denton public library began to offer use of computers and I build my first website, a very simple page with some pictures of my work. To my surprise I began to receive calls from all over USA requesting information about my custom work. I went to the library every day to see if I had emails. In 1996 I bought my first computer and develop artontiles.com. The rest is history. For almost 20 years I have doing my living painting ceramic tiles and selling my work trough my website.
Interests	About three years ago I decided to brush up on my painting training and began to paint again on canvas with acrylics and oils. I now devote four hours a day to painting. It has been a pleasant journey to re-discovery my love for painting. Now I am working in develop my own style of painting. One day people will see my work and recognize my name and style and want own one of my paintings. I know this is something difficult to obtain, but everything begins with a dream.
