| Introduction | "Be the change you wish to see in the world" I've tried to be. Me? I’m a mom, wife, daughter, sister, friend. My jobs include raising cattle on one side and supporting adults with disabilities to live independently on the other. In the middle of all of that is Lynda:a writer, singer, dreamer and seeker. My losses push me to do and be all that I can in this short amount of time we’re given, so my plate is always too full. I love my life, my people and my home. I'm grateful for every opportunity I've had, although right now I'm trying to piece it back together after the death of my son Shane on March 10,2009. My music has been an integral part of moving forward. For music, I released my first CD "Reflections" in 2006 and my 2nd album "Just One LIfe" in September ‘09. "Just One Life" is dedicated to the memory of my son Shane, and proceeds from sales go towards the Shane Dickson Memorial Award for Inclusion.I love where I'm at musically right now. I indulge in it for the pure joy of music, to work myself through some very tough times. In doing so I've been able to help other's work through their own struggles.Maybe it's what my music was meant to do all along? |
