| Introduction | Glenn Dixon is an Area Agent with the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center. His primary responsibilities include conducting educational programs for limited resource producers and a local rural leaders and residents in northeast Louisiana. For last 16 years, Glenn has provided research-based educational programs to northeast Louisiana's agricultural industry - from farmers to commodity groups, agribusiness, food processors, and retailers. The programs address crop and livestock production systems that are profitable, sustainable, environmentally sound, and safe for limited resource farm families. Although agriculture is the major industry in northeast Louisiana, Glenn also delivers research-based educational programs that help local citizens address concerns about their communities' social, economic and environmental conditions. Programs focus on local leadership education, entrepreneurship, technical assistance to small rural businesses and non-profit organizational development that assists the faith based community to maximize its social and economic impact on communities. |
