Introduction | The Mississippi Project, founded in 1981, consists of a committed group of law students at CUNY School of Law who spend their winter break with organizations that work to advance civil rights and human rights work in Mississippi and Louisiana. This year, 11 students will be interning with the Mississippi Workers' Project for Human Rights (Greenville, MS), The Innocence Project (New Orleans, LA), and the ACLU of Mississippi, Reproductive Freedom Coalition (Jackson, MS). Each of these organizations provides vital legal services to communities that face barriers to justice under the law. |
