Introduction I am a freelance textile artist, designer and embroiderer with a passion for creating 3 dimensional flowering structures and fashion accessories in the form of bags and unique jewellery. My inspirations are captured from carvings and ornate plaster work depicting patterns from nature and from the natural enviroment found around me. I have conciderable experience teaching machine embroidery, stump work and gold work, teaching a number of varied workshops and lecturing widley throughout the UK and abroad. I constantly seek new challenges and through my work with Organza i am developing a second body of work using flexible plastic to stitch, paint and trap media between to produce a modern twist on past techniques. Along with my soldering iron, heat gun, machine and hand embroidery i combine and merge a varied spectrum of techniques and diverse materials to create unique textiles that inspire the viewer to think on the subject i am depicting. It is my great aim in life to inspire others and encourage everyone to have a go and develope their skills to create their own original work and to provide them with the knowledge and opportunity to develope new ideas
