IntroductionJirawit Yamkleeb is a practising architect based in Bangkok, Thailand. He was born in 1977 in Bangkok, Thailand. He received his M.Sc. (Urbanism) from TU Delft, The Netherlands, in 2003 and B.Arch. from Chulalongkorn U., Thailand, in 1999. Upon his graduation at TU Delft, his Thesis was selected as part of Transforming Asian Cities, a series of lectures and exhibitions in Delft, Rotterdam and Jakarta. In 2001, Jirawit won honourable mention prize for Shinkenchiku Residential Design Competition and was awarded the Bunka-cho Fellowship under the JIA's supervision. His works were also chosen by the Architectural League of New York in 2006 for Architecture and The Mail Project, by IaaC, Spain, in 2007 for the 2nd Advanced Architecture Contest and shortlisted for WA Awards in 2009. During his employment with SCDA Jirawit worked on numerous projects both locally and internationally. He has traveled frequently for work to Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, New Delhi, Bangalore, Maldives, Dubai, Tivoli, Verona, Rome, Melbourne, Guilin, Sun Moon Lake, Jakarta and Colombo. Jirawit served as a member of the SIA's organising committee for the ArchiFest in Singapore from 2009-2011.
