| Introduction | I have been happily married for 18 years. I have two beautiful children. I have had difficulty maintaining a healthy weight since around age 25. As I approached 40, I decided it was time to take control and find a healthier me. Since January 2011, I have lost 50 pounds. I ran my first 5K in March 2011, then a 10K in April 2011 and I was hooked on running. I completed my first half marathon in October 2011. After that I was hooked. I completed 4 half marathons in 2012, along with several other shorter races. I completed my first full marathon in December 2012. I am so happy to have found running, and I hope to be able to continue running and participating in races for many years (and hopefully decades) to come. |
