| Introduction | I was one of the first gay-identified psychotherapists in the country and had a private practice for 30 years in Boston. I fully retired in 2007 when I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and began spending more time in Fort Lauderdale. I am currently writing a public blog about this journey with cancer and a degenerative kidney disease, and also a semi-private memoir blog about my early life and work as a gay-identified clinical social worker. I appreciate and am grateful for every day of my life which continues to be filled with blessings along with enormous health challenges. And,yes,I still look very much like my photo despite the internal physical mayhem! :-) |
