| Introduction | I've been writing fiction since I was able to hold a crayon. Born in the South Bronx, I got my street-cred and took it on the road to Long Island at the age of four. One of my literary claims-to-fame is having opened a poetry reading for Allen Ginsberg--although once you know the details it's a lot less impressive than it sounds. I have though, quite legitimately shared reading stages with Sol Yurick (author of THE WARRIORS) and Donna Minkowitz (former Village Voice columnist and author of the Lambda Award-winning memoir "Ferocious Romance").
