| Introduction | When I was young, I would request that a certain book be read to me before bedtime. It wasn't the Velveteen Rabbit, Dr. Seuss, or Curious George. Instead, I wanted to read Cheese, Peas and Chocolate Pudding by Betty Van Witsen. That book must have been read to me one too many times, as I now have the same taste as that child who loved cheese, peas and chocolate pudding more than anything in the world. At the end of the story the boy tries hamburger and adds it to his “favorites,” and yes, I did too. To this day, cheese, peas (ok, I branched out... all vegetables), chocolate anything AND hamburgers are my favorites to test in restaurants weekly. Join me as I taste my way through the best of the best of my four food groups. |
