| Introduction | I graduated from Georgia College and State University in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught 4th grade for four years decided it was time to try something new and I am now a 5th grade teacher. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband and my 2 year old daughter- she is ever growing and changing and I don't want to miss a thing! I enjoy spending time with my large family as well as my friends when time allows. I love to read but I don't always get time to do that. I wish I had more time to dedicate to crafting and decorating my house and classroom with all of the things I have found on Pinterest! I also love to take pictures and try to take as many pictures of my favorite things as I can! I am excited about this blog so that I can explore the world of literacy to better understand the needs of my students and how I can best teach them. I am also looking for ideas that I can share with my colleagues to enhance our literacy program for our students. |
