| Introduction | Greetings, Earth people. Be at ease. We hope you gain many insights from Aut and its beings. Through many generations, we have observed you and studied your ways. We have communicated little of ourselves, as this is the way of the autistic personality. Times change and, though we may resist it, now has come the time for us to speak. We notice you are, on the whole, an intelligent and literate race. It is our aim, on Aut, to have communion with you through your many and varied interests. To use one of your violent metaphors, we are also ‘exploding the myth’ that autistic people have no sense of humour and have included ‘fun’ pages to ‘entertain’ you. Calling Earth is written by autists for human enjoyment, education and debate. We have made it to communicate with you. In revealing our unique perspective, we hope you gain greater understanding of our people. Every editor hopes their blog is going to be different, in some way, from others orbiting cyberspace, that it will fill a niche, bridge a gap. The bridge we have built spans neither river nor ravine. Instead, it joins together two planets: Earth and Aut. Here at Calling Earth, we think we have scored a very unique first. |

You have a red jar of cedar chips. Why do moths miss the forest?
Moths miss the forest, as we all do. Errant humans cut it down and it isn't there anymore.
