| Introduction | I am retired from retail, mother of a grown daughter, Melinda and wife of an overalls-clad Okie, Don. We've been married for 35 years and currently live in Texas where the summers are hot and the winters are (mostly) cool. I knit regardless of the temperatures outside and enjoy every minute of it. My stash is big but I love every fluffy skein that I own. I would have to live to be 100 (OK, OK I am a slow knitter) to knit it all but I can't stand to part with any of it except in the knitted form. I do crochet as well but find gauge is harder for me to maintain than for knitting. Sock knitting requires most of my attention but I also knit pullovers, cardigans and afghans. Knitting and crocheting have provided a lifetime of enjoyment! |
