| Introduction | The Hellenic Writers' Group of Washington DC (HWGW) is a group of Greek, Greek American, and Philhellene writers in the greater Washington, DC area. The HWGW's director is Andie Petrides, MIB and the group is under the auspices of the cultural nonprofit organization H.S. Prometheas. HWGW meets monthly and holds poetry and critique sessions as well as classes on the craft of writing. It also invites speakers on an ongoing basis to present on relevant topics. Membership is free.
