| Introduction | I am a highschool Family and Consumer Science (FACS) teacher and I LOVE MY JOB! I currently teach Fashion and Interior designs to freshmen thru seniors. Yes, we actually offer those classes to students in our school!! I took these classes as a highschool student and then went to college to be a FACS teacher....knowing that my DREAM job would be a design teacher. I got hired out of college and worked at a junior high teaching Foods and Sewing to middle school aged students (I also LOVE FOOD). I coached cheerleading for 4 years, Drill team for 1 and track for 4 years.....coaching is another passion :) I knew I wanted to get to the highschool level eventually....normally a design teacher gets "in" and stays there for years and years....well I got lucky and there was an opening while I'm semi young (I had a rough time this year with my 28th bday)and believe me....I will be here awhile. I see a long future teaching in the classroom even tho I am currenlty getting my Master's in Administration. Eventually I will move up....after all my creativity runs out :) I hope you enjoy some of our ideas....trust me, they aren't all mine :) |
