| Introduction | I am a freelance writer living in Camden Maine. As a child my parents would take their yearly Camden Maine vacation and I grew to love this part of the Maine Coast. I moved to the area 9 years ago with my husband. We live in a white, circa 1872, Victorian home with a big front porch, just down the road from Camden Harbor. A freelance writer and retired elementary school teacher, I have previously worked for several Maine Tourism businesses as a publication assistant and travel writer. Since many of the people who live in Camden have an affinity for the ocean and outdoor pursuits, it isn't surprising that they seem to take advantage of all the local Camden Maine attractions especially when the weather is nice. Hiking, boating, swimming, kayaking and strolling are just some of the activities that get the natives, as well as the tourists, out and about.
