Introduction	Triage Journalism for Bainbridge Island. The purpose of this blog is to attempt to fill in some of the many blanks left by our local media during what we see as a critical period for the Island – politically, environmentally socially and economically. We aren’t journalists, and have no intention of trying to be a full-fledged news source. Our goals are to bring forward stories or perspectives that our local press will not publish, or to counter the spin and opinion that has been passing as news for too long. We are members of the community, your neighbors, and like you, we have busy lives. We will write when we can and will attempt to verify all facts before we move on a story. It is our hope that this blog will ultimately become obsolete when existing, or new, mainstream or alternative local news sources begin to cover the important stories and ask the hard questions.
