About me

Introduction	I'm a military wife, fur-mom, and nursing professor. I've named my blog "Looking Up" because that is what I've learned to do as I navigate this unpredictable world. (It's also because I'm 4'11 and that's really my only option. I first considered starting a blog about a year ago as a way to keep my close family and friends up to date on our "wonderfully unpredictable" lives. Life got in the way and I never started the blog. Recently I went through one of the most difficult times in my life, a miscarriage. I was lost and didn't know where to turn. I found a few bloggers who spoke about their struggles with infertility/miscarriage. Their words were therapeutic to me. I realized I wasn't alone. It inspired me to finally start my blog. Not just to keep my friends and family up to date on my life, but to help others. To remind military spouses, moms, women struggling with infertility, and just anyone who felt alone, that you're not. I hope I can help someone along this journey. I don't intend for this blog to be all about struggles. It will include all of the wonderful and exciting things going on in my life as well. There's so much greatness around me, and I'm reminded of it everyday.
