| Introduction | I am a wife and mother of four daughters and four sons, ages 8 to 28. We homestead 11 acres on a windy hill in Red Wing, Minnesota, hence the name for our Drying Rack business: Windy Hills. Since Moving to the farm in 1995, dirt has become a very common word around here, along with "wash your hands!" We have raised numerous species of animals, planted gardens and trees, cut wood, landscaped, added on to the house a few times, put up fences, taken down fences... Life on the farm always seems to involve dirt, one way or another, so I have become an expert in keeping clothes clean- and making sure there is something left of them to pass on to the next child. |
