Introduction Dave and Donna have explored the wilds of the Northeast, the Mid-Atlantic and beyond since 1974. Dave served 3 years as an Americorps naturalist at the Montezuma Audubon Center. His websites for Montezuma Birding and Eatonbirds (see links below) promote local birding. Prior to that he was the part-time naturalist at Bayberry Environmental Education Center until it closed. Dave started life as an amateur astronomer, added geology in college, then birding after moving to Rochester, NY, then botany, mycology and other sciences. Nature photography is now the thread that holds them together. In the 80's and 90's he was a professional stock photographer, taught Adult Continuing Education classes and workshops on nature photography, developed two series of nature slide programs on ecology and birding, and led birding hikes, nature photography programs and family nature walks at the Allegany Nature Pilgrimage. Many of his skills were acquired in the 70's as an assistant scout master and merit badge counselor in nature, birds, wildlife and weather. Donna's main outdoor interests are geology, hiking and camping. She particularly loves the Adirondack Mtns.
