| Introduction | I like to notice uncommon beauty in the common activity of daily life. My heart contains dreams of travel, freedom, adventures, and an everyday delight in life. In 2009, these dreams led me to Santander, Spain, where I taught for a year and explored the world. In 2010, I returned to Chicago to dig roots and invest in a city I call home. After 5 golden years in downtown Chicago, I graduated with my master's in spiritual formation and packed up my car to head west. 6 months after living in SD, I met the man of my dreams; we were engaged 6 months later and married 6 months after that. Almost a year into marriage, we found ourselves expecting a baby boy in June 2018! He arrived in July - Jack Benjamin Knisely - and has brought us the most unexpected joy. From teaching young ones to college students, I am a teacher & writer at heart. Someday I will write a book using the themes of this blog as the backbone to my chapters. No matter where I go, I hope to live in a way that emphasizes simplicity, creativity, discovery, awareness, and the growth of the spirit. Everyone has a story. Please, share mine. |
