| Introduction | I am a 43 year old Filipina currently living in Long Island, New York. I am married to an American of Italian descent. I have 3 children, ages 8, 6,and 5. And I also have a dog. I migrated to the US in 1982. Through the years, I have learned to adapt to my new country and began to identify with its culture rather that the one that I was born into. In 2010, I visited the Philippines with my eldest child and I began to appreciate the culture of the Philippines again. I enjoy talking to my kids about my youth. I want them to realize that I come from an interesting place, rich in history and tradition. I want to share my thoughts and insights to everyone. |
