Introduction	Chris DeRubeis has an Honours B.A. in English and Cultural Studies from McMaster University and has developed a passion for the arts through his studies. Having been involved in the Toronto arts community for two years he co-founded a not for profit publication called Altered I Magazine for emerging artists in 2007. With this organization Chris has been involved with many local art collaborations and has written reviews and conducted interviews for several artists. He is also the associate editor of the Emerging Arts Professional Network with Ella Cooper and has been promoting events for *Hotshot Gallery in Kensington Market. He is also avid open mic enthusiast, having expanded his creative writing skills he has become a motivated performer in the Toronto spoken word scene.
Interests	The Arts- Literature, visual arts, music, film, and all forms of creative expression.
Favorite books	Classic Fiction, stream of consciousness, critical theory, philosophy.
