Introduction	I'm a native of beautiful and historic Virginia. My interest in chickens came about 5 years ago. Before purchasing my house, I made sure I could have some chickens in the city. I knew I wanted to raise some birds and enjoy some fresh eggs. I enjoy planting herbs, flowers, and vegetables. I also enjoy writing, reading, fishing, cooking, decorating, quilting, and watching my favorite programs when I have time. I have two parakeets, two hermit crabs, four chickens, and one cat. I enjoy my little menagerie and would most likely enjoy even more if I could.
