IntroductionVolunteer International Community Development Africa (VICDA) It is a charity organization based in Kenya and it support the unprivellidged community within kenya. We offer supports to the orphans and vulnerable kids by sponsoring their education, feeding programs (providing a meal a day in community schools) and building shelters for kids who are orphans. We are also now working with Internally Displaced persons (IDPS) who were displaced during the December 2007 post-election violence due to disputed presidential results. The IDPs Were left homeless and all their household items and properties were burned down leaving them With nothing. As for now we are putting up the houses for the IDPs families to give them a shelter. We are having around 5,000 IDPs families with a total population of around 25,000 persons. The houses which need to be put up are 5,000 and each simple house is costing $600. With US$600 you have provided a home for a homeless person. For those who are interested to partner with us to sponsor for a house for the IDPs family or to Sponsor a child for education or a meal a day please visit our website at www.vicda.org.
