| Introduction | My name is Amanda. I'm in my early twenties. I found out I was pregnant at 18 and had my beautiful son at 19. I'm a young mother that found my pregnancy to be beautiful but also very difficult, as most young mothers do. Being young, unmarried, and unprepared for pregnancy can be tremendously scary. There may be all types of emotions that come along with this particular situation, fear, happiness, confusion, embarrassment, and so on. One thing I have to make clear is that since I had the privilege of experiencing pregnancy, child birth, and motherhood, I am absolutely in love with the whole experience. My story wasn't a fairy tale and there were a lot of things I had to figure out on my own, as do so many other young mothers to be. This is the reason for my blog. I want this to be informative for young mothers. No one can tell you exactly what pregnancy, child birth, or motherhood will be like, they can only give you an idea. |
