| Introduction | I'm a mom trying to be the change I want to see in the world. I'm married to my best friend. We were forever changed by our adoption trips to Ukraine. I blog about our unglamorous real life, often in fluent sarcasm as my own personal comic relief. Through our struggles with the school system, I've become well educated on special-ed and ESL law. After years of homeschooling I found an advocate who was able to secure private placement for my four adopted children. It is my hope that by sharing our stories about our struggles and our joys, we encourage others to be moved to action on behalf of orphans. Parenting is the most difficult, soul baring, beautiful, rewarding experience of our lives. We have learned more about the world through our children than we will ever teach them. |
